Merry Christmas everyone!!

Slim and I woke up early and enjoyed coffee together, he went back to sleep while I started a big breakfast: Quiche, French toast casserole, bacon and sausage. Matt and Jean were late (no secret there) but no harm, no foul...we lived and he just got kidded a bit.

Slim had written a beautiful poem to give to his parents for Christmas and it was quite impressive. they presented him with a photo album of his life. A very loving gift, I thought.

Anyways, after a pleasant breakfast poolside, we opened presents, hung out a bit, then Vicki and I got in the pool. Slim had it cranked to 86 or so, so it was pretty comfy!

Mom roasted a ham and made scalloped potatoes for supper, Nick & Chloe went to her mom's for supper, Matt & Jean went to visit her mom but came back here to hang out again.

It was a long, wonderful day.

Good Morning everyone, it is Christmas Eve. Most of us are running around with last minute little stuff to do to make our holiday special. I am too. Slim is going to work for a few hours and I want to get home and decorate the house a bit mre for tomorrow. Hope no babies come today or tomorrow morning! Merry Christmas fellow Gawne family members! Sorry we won't be seeing you, but get your cold bee-hinds down here in sunny FL! Yesterday Vicki was laying out by the pool (too cold to actually venture into the water) it was 86 degrees outside.

I Christmas shopped and Slim worked. He is working on a mustang that he wants OUT and DONE.
It is a good looking car though (for a Ford).

Mom & Dad have moved their trailer to our back yard to Mom has a waterfront view (of the pool!)
and she has her icicles and and her Dale lights hanging around the camper out there for Christmas spirit! Dad has been going to the shop and helping Slim work on cars and they have just finished up with a '37 something or other that Dad worked on. that guy is bringing in a '47 next week. I will post pictures.

Slim is anxious to work on his own race car. Was on Ebay late last night Christmas shopping for himself and debating between tranny system and tires/wheels.

Matt & Jean are getting by, I think Matt is still out looking for jobs and I am glad Jean has steady work. People may be loosing their houses but can still get tattoos! Nick and Chloe are doing fine. Chloe is enjoying school. Nick is (I think) enjoying his work and so on and so forth.
